The Significance of Community

At Parkview Edge, we observe Communion every time we meet. We believe that the early church experienced a sense of community as it broke bread together. So far we have stressed the servent aspects of community and the worship offering of communion. Do you think communion is a fair representation of the concept of belonging together? If communion is a snapshot of the community experience, what are some ways that we can extend the concept of community outside of the Edge experience? Are there dangers in the weekly frequency of observing the ritual on a regular basis? If so, what precautions can we take?
